The Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the anglers, as well as the owners, staff and management of the Ocean Crest and Long Beach piers for their overwhelming support of this event over the past 4 years. Due to the loss of the Long Beach Pier the Chamber’s Board of Directors has decided to remove this event from its program of work at this time. We very much appreciate your participation and interest and hope you will continue to experience the bountiful fishing opportunities the Oak Island & Southport area offers anglers of all ages and skill levels.

The Town of Oak Island Parks & Recreation Department will hold a pier fishing tournament on June 9th - 11th at the Ocean Crest and Yaupon Beach Piers. The tournament will have a similar format and prize structure. Please contact them at 910.278-5518 or Rebecca at 910.278-4747 for details.
